Consent- The Decision is Yours!
If a staff member is going to utilize the meeting transcription for your meeting, they are required to ask for your consent before they enable the transcription. If you consent to the use of transcription, you can ask the staff member to pause or stop the transcription at any time. You have the right to decline the use of meeting transcription.
Data and Privacy
The myKnight STAR platform is supported by EAB, which provides access to the AI-powered meeting transcription. Audio is transcribed live, using ephemeral audio, and is not recorded or stored by EAB or its third-party transcription service. The temporary transcription is immediately deleted after the summarized meeting notes are reviewed, edited, and submitted by staff members.
UCF’s University Compliance and Ethics and Information Security Office have approved the use of this technology.
